Job summary

Codex Health, Inc. is seeking a senior mobile software engineer to design and implement features for our native apps. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Customer Success to deliver a best-in-class RPM mobile experience and own large sections of the codebase.

You will work across teams, stay current with libraries and technologies, and influence development practices. A growth mindset and strong collaboration are essential as you contribute to multiple domains in healthcare technology.

Job description

This position is for those who are looking to make an impact, have influence on technology and product ideas, and build world-class software. We’re looking for individuals who also want to share their prior experiences to improve and empower the rest of the team.

What you will do

• Design and develop innovative features for our native mobile applications using the latest libraries and technologies.
• Work closely with Product, Design, and Customer Success to create an incredible RPM mobile experience for our customers.
• Have ownership of large sections of our application.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest libraries and technologies and bring your experience to influence our software development practices and processes.
• Freedom to collaborate across engineering teams and bring your ideas to life.

In 3 months

• Learn about our company’s priorities, mobile development cycle, and roadmap.
• Undergo several iterations of code reviews and contributions to our codebase.
• Own your first release of our app.
• Work with folks across the company.

In 6 months

• Help plan out our feature roadmap.
• Plan out and develop a large feature of our app.

In 9 months

• Take on larger technology and product responsibilities.
• Provide technical and analytical expertise to other members on the team.

What we’d like you to bring to the table

• Demonstrated ability to write modern software in Java, Kotlin, C/C++, etc.
• Experience with developing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, etc.
• Exposure to database systems such as BigQuery, Elastic Search, and MongoDB.
• 7+ years of post-college work experience.
• Planning technical roadmaps and delivering projects on a set timeline.
• Most of all — a growth mindset, highly collaborative nature, and a strong desire to learn.
