Job summary

Techiva Inc, located in Philadelphia, is seeking a software developer to code applications that adhere to business requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong Java programming skills and experience with modern development frameworks.

This is a 6-month contract position requiring local candidates for an onsite interview. Candidates should be team players who thrive in an Agile environment and possess strong communication skills.

Job Description

Codes software applications & adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Must have strong OO programming skills, strong communication skills and be a solid team player for a close knit Agile team

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Hands on experience and understanding of modern java development (REST web services and no sql data store like cassandra/mongodb/couchebase, etc)
• Experience with dependency injection framework (spring/guice), messaging technologies (mq/jms, sqs/sns) and test driven development (junit/testng/mock frameworks)
• Hands on with at least one dynamic language other than Java, prefer Ruby or Python.
• Comfortable with unix/os x development environment

Nice to have:

• Work exp with other Amazon services like swf, ec2, s3, etc
• Work exp with indexing frameworks like elastic search or solr

Additional Information

6 month contract position - must be local candidates onsite interview required.
