Job summary

Coastal is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to deliver custom development, integrations, and data migration for client Salesforce implementations. The role requires onsite work in Hartford, CT (Tue–Thu) and 4–6 years of hands-on Salesforce experience.

Preferred candidates hold Health Cloud/Life Sciences Cloud experience, Salesforce PD1 or similar certifications, and strong LWC/Aura skills. A US work authorization is required to join the team.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years hands-on development on the Salesforce platform.
• Experience supporting Health Cloud or Life Sciences Cloud projects.
• Active Salesforce Administrator or equivalent certification required.
• Understanding of the Salesforce product suite (Sales, Service, CPQ, Communities).
• Strong LWC or Aura development skills.
• Knowledge of asynchronous capabilities in Salesforce and use cases.
• Understanding of data sharing/visibility considerations and platform architecture.
• Experience with environment management, release management, and deployment best practices.
• Must have full-time US work authorization.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to help us support our continued growth. The Senior Developer is responsible for the successful delivery of components and technologies that extend the Salesforce platform to achieve our customers business requirements. These technologies include, but are not limited to Salesforce products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, mobile development technologies, and integration/ETL technologies.

In this role, we are looking for someone with expertise in Salesforce and hands‑on experience on the different Salesforce clouds, Integration, Data Management, Apex/Visualforce and Lightning (Aura and LWC).

Please note: This position will require regular onsite work (Tuesday-Thursday) at our client's location in Hartford, CT.

Role Responsibilities:

Experience/Skills Required:

• 4-6 years hands‑on development experience on the Salesforce platform
• Experience supporting Health Cloud or Life Sciences Cloud projects
• Hands on Agentforce experience
• Minimum of an active Salesforce Administrator or other Salesforce certification required
• Understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, Community, CPQ Clouds
• Strong LWC or Aura development skills.
• Knowledge on various asynchronous capabilities in salesforce and its use cases
• Strong expertise on web service.
• Need to have clear understanding of MVC architecture
• Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions
• Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices
• Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into platform architecture
• Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
• Must have full-time permanent US work authorization

Additional Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• Salesforce PD1 certification highly preferred, or willingness to achieve PD1 certification within six months of start date
• Achieves one technical certification each quarter as specified by immediate supervisor/manager
• Travels with client or project team as needed building skills
