Job summary

SOMERSET STAFFING is seeking a well-rounded DevOps / Platform Engineer in Needham, MA to design, implement, and support enterprise DevOps platforms and CI/CD pipelines. The role focuses on automating infrastructure, managing cloud deployments on AWS, and advancing security and observability across the DevOps toolchain.

You will maintain Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Bitbucket, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and Vault, while applying best practices in Git workflows,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise DevOps platforms including Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Bitbucket, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, Git workflows, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Strong programming and automation skills using Python, with experience in Bash and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Experience implementing SSO, identity management, security integrations, and secrets management solutions.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, platform integrations, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to enhance software delivery and operational efficiency.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
