Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Translate production plans into detailed schedules optimizing sequencing and utilization.
  • Generate and monitor master production schedule (MPS) aligned with priorities.
  • Maintain and print WOs and monitor material readiness for production.
  • Optimize schedules to improve throughput and efficiency.
  • Support New Product Introduction by validating and provisioning material readiness.
  • Maintain SAP parameters to support inventory targets and MRP calculations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and product management on validation and re-work orders.
  • Analyze inventory levels to prevent excess or obsolete materials.
  • Monitor daily production activity and reconcile with plan.
  • Coordinate with planners and buyers to ship material to other plants as needed.
  • Perform other duties and projects as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Detailed Scheduler. The role is a contractor position located in Santa Clara, CA with an expectation of being in the office 3+ days per week.

Purpose

The Detailed Scheduler is accountable for translating production plans into detailed schedules that optimize sequencing, line utilization, labor, and material availability. Coordinates closely with manufacturing, warehouse, quality, maintenance, and planning teams to support schedule adherence and efficient plant execution. Monitoring short-term schedule performance, identifying constraints and exceptions, and adjusting schedules to maintain service, throughput, and operational stability.

Your will be responsible for
  • Detailed Scheduling and Sequencing
  • Builds and maintains detailed production schedules that reflect production plan priorities, asset constraints, labor availability, and material readiness.
  • Responsible for generating, printing and monitoring work/production orders (WOs) according to the master production schedule (MPS)
  • Optimizes schedule to improve production plan attainment, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Supports New Product Introduction work orders for evaluations / validation and material readiness in production or development stages
  • Maintains planning parameters in SAP for the products assigned to support inventory targets and proper calculation of materials requirement plan (MRP).
  • Interacts with engineering, R&D, and product management to provide support with validation and re-work production orders.
  • Analyzes and monitors the inventory levels to align with the goals established in the business plans, as well as to avoid obsolete, surplus material.
  • Performs daily monitoring of production activities (real against planned), through reports and physical inspection of the production floor.
  • Maintains wide communication with planners / buyers, approves and coordinates the shipment of material to other plants, when necessary.
  • Support other duties and projects assigned as needed
  • Responsible for the personal compliance with the federal, state, local and company regulations, health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
Execution Monitoring and Exception Management
  • Establishes effective communication with supporting functions to resolve issues that my impact the production schedule. This includes but not limited to purchasing, manufacturing, warehouse, planning, repair depot, engineering, quality, regulatory, customer service and document control.
  • Provides schedule analysis and execution feedback to support continuous improvement in planning and plant performance.
  • Participates in plant and planning review forums to provide transparency on schedule performance, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree, Supply chain or related field is preferred
  • Required Experience and Skills: Minimum 4 years of experience in Planning, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Operations
  • A minimum of 3 years of supply chain planning required especially supply and network
  • Experience with ERP systems including Work Orders / Purchase Orders placement
  • Experience with system-based MRP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of personal initiative and strong sense of urgency, and able to perform autonomously with limited supervision
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Consistent track record of challenging the “status-quo”, visualizing potential opportunities and implementing actions to build value.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in detailed scheduling SAP experience especially S4/Hana
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Experience in healthcare / regulatory dependent sector
  • Capital equipment supply chain / planning experience
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) FPX/PMP training
  • Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ CSCP)
  • Travel Requirements: This position may require up to 15% travel to the Milpitas, CA location.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $91,000.00 - $147,200.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
