Job summary

Cirrus Logic is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build desktop tools for configuring and tuning our mixed-signal ICs. You will work with applications, systems and firmware teams to deliver customer-facing tools and utilities that integrate Cirrus Logic products into devices.

The role requires strong OO programming in Java/C++/C# and hands-on embedded systems work. Collaboration, code quality and performance optimization are essential, with opportunities to influence product workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 6+ years of object-oriented software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems.
• Demonstrated experience developing complex desktop or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of multithreaded and multiprocess systems including IPC.
• Familiarity with Python or Ruby scripting.
• Curiosity about microcontrollers and DSP.
• Ability to collaborate with users internally and externally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop critical desktop software tools that enable graphical configuration and tuning of Cirrus Logic ICs.
• Work with applications, systems and firmware teams to define and build customer-facing tools.
• Collaborate with the development team for stand-ups, requirements gathering and estimates, and project planning.
• Decompose project requirements into actionable stories and tasks, including effort estimates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the team’s development processes, focusing on quality, scalability and performance.
