Job summary

Mejuri, a modern fine jewelry brand, seeks a Freelance Senior Designer to bring brand stories to life across digital, print, campaigns, and product experiences in NYC. You will collaborate with copywriters, OPS, and cross-functional partners, owning projects from start to finish.

The role emphasizes hands‑on design, strategic thinking, and evolving our visual language while maintaining brand guidelines and consistency across channels. Hybrid work supported.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years professional experience, either in-house or agency environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of work across branding, digital, and print.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Miro
• Excellent understanding of typography, layout, color, and visual storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without compromising quality
• Motion design development
• Adoption of AI tools in the design process

Responsibilities

• Bring creative concepts to life from initial idea through to final execution across a wide range of brand touchpoints (digital, print, social, email, retail, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with copywriters, OPS, and cross-functional partners to develop cohesive, on-brand campaigns and content
• Own projects from start to finish, balancing hands-on design work with strategic thinking and creative direction
• Push the brand forward by contributing new visual ideas, refining design systems, and helping evolve our visual language
• Present work confidently to internal stakeholders, explaining design decisions clearly and persuasively
• Stay on top of design trends and emerging tools to ensure our creative stays fresh, relevant, and effective
• Help maintain and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency across all channels

The Freelance Senior Designer will join our in-house creative team located in NYC. In this role, you’ll bring brand stories to life through thoughtful, compelling design across a range of channels from digital to print, campaigns to product experiences. You’ll collaborate closely within the creative department, but with other critical cross functional leads.

Job Info

This is a freelance role or short term contract, depending on candidate preferences. The role does require full time hours (40 hours a week) for a 3 -4 month duration.

Location:

At Mejuri we embrace a hybrid working environment and support our corporate employees to be successful whether they are at home or in the office. The primary purpose of our offices is to drive collaboration and deepen relationships with one another. Corporate employees are in office 3 days a week.
