Job summary

Technip Energies seeks a Senior Architectural Designer to develop architectural concepts and detailed plans for buildings and related facilities. The role collaborates with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to meet functional, aesthetic, regulatory, quality, HSE, budget, and schedule requirements.

You will mentor junior staff, supervise design scope across projects, and ensure effective communication with vendors while maintaining design integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution is highly preferred.
• Five to twelve years of experience in architectural design and execution of projects.
• Professional licensure or certification (Registered Architect/NCARB) is highly preferred.
• Fluency in professional English.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, designs, detailed plans, technical specifications, requisitions, reports, and other project deliverables.
• Coordinate architectural design activities with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure contractual technical specifications and project requirements are met by external parties, suppliers, and contractors.
• Maintain effective technical communication with vendors and provide follow-up on assigned orders and requisitions.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable local zoning requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Identify and propose design alternatives that support cost, schedule, and energy-saving objectives while maintaining project requirements.
• Provide architectural support during project execution and assist in resolving design and construction-related issues.

Position Summary

The Senior Architectural Designer is responsible for developing architectural concepts, designs, detailed plans, specifications, and project deliverables for buildings and related facilities. The role supports the planning and design of buildings and works closely with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to help ensure projects meet functional, aesthetic, technical, regulatory, quality, HSE, budget, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, designs, detailed plans, technical specifications, requisitions, reports, and other project deliverables.
• Coordinate architectural design activities with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure contractual technical specifications and project requirements are met by external parties, suppliers, and contractors.
• Maintain effective technical communication with vendors and provide follow-up on assigned orders and requisitions.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable local zoning requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Identify and propose design alternatives that support cost, schedule, and energy-saving objectives while maintaining project requirements.
• Provide architectural support during project execution and assist in resolving design and construction-related issues.

Leadership / Management Responsibilities

• Mentor and support junior architects, designers, or interns as needed.
• Supervise one or more junior architects, designers, or interns when assigned and review work for quality and consistency.
• Maintain autonomy and accountability for assigned architectural scope across one or several projects.
• Report engineering and requisitioning progress to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
• For small requisitions or standard equipment packages, coordinate technical, contractual, expediting, and inspection activities with support from project and procurement functions as needed.

Compliance / Operational Responsibilities

• Maintain overall responsibility for engineering, contractual, and quality-control surveillance for assigned architectural building scope.
• Ensure assigned work supports project quality and HSE objectives.
• Adhere to project priorities for technical robustness, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with engineering disciplines, procurement, planning, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure architectural deliverables comply with applicable project requirements, codes, zoning requirements, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution is highly preferred.
• Five (5) to twelve (12) years of experience in architectural design and execution of projects.
• Professional licensure or certification, such as Registered Architect or NCARB certification, is highly preferred.
• Fluency in professional English.

Role Specific Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with the technical aspects of architectural design and project execution.
• Experience developing architectural concepts, detailed plans, specifications, requisitions, reports, and project deliverables.
• Knowledge of local zoning laws, building codes, safety regulations, and project design requirements.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar applications.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, stakeholders, procurement, planning, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to mentor junior architectural personnel and independently manage assigned design scope.
