Craft Agency Ltd in New York seeks a Senior Designer to lead design projects end-to-end for challenger brands in food, drink and better-for-you categories. You’ll craft bold, strategic work and defend territories directly with clients, while mentoring peers and staying hands-on in craft.
You’ll join a flat studio where leadership stays close to the work, with weekly reviews and direct input on direction. Hybrid working and a strong benefits package accompany the role.
This is a strategic design studio working in CPG and food & beverage – a discipline where the design is the product’s most tangible touchpoint. The studio’s own line is that they challenge categories, not consumers.
You’ll lead design projects end-to-end, from the round-one concept through to polished execution, for challenger brands in food, drink and better-for-you categories. That means getting under a brief, finding the real commercial challenge inside it, and producing bold, unexpected work that holds up both strategically and visually. You’ll present and defend creative territories directly with clients, and mentor designers around you while staying hands‑on in the craft yourself.
You’ll report to leadership that stays close to the work, involved from first concepts, with weekly internal reviews. This is a flat studio. Seniors here aren’t buffered from decisions by layers of oversight; you’ll be in the room where direction is set.
You’re a Senior Designer several years into your career, most likely from a smaller or mid‑sized studio where seniors still design daily rather than manage from a distance. Your portfolio leads with challenger‑brand packaging you personally led, showing conceptual range alongside motion, scamping and sketching.
CPG experience is essential here; brand and motion are a strong plus. You want a recognisable creative voice and a body of work where your ideas clearly shaped the outcome.
