Job summary

Day One Agency in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Designer to join our Design / Art Direction team. You will craft visual strategies and client-ready assets across social, print, web, and events, guiding projects from concept to final execution.

You’ll collaborate with diverse teams, present concepts to clients, and mentor junior designers in a fast-paced, culture-forward studio environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience at an advertising/creative agency or design studio.
• Portfolio showcasing a range of design work and capabilities.
• Experience designing across digital, print, and experiential platforms.
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use visual thinking and hands-on design skills to solve strategic business challenges
• Provide a unique perspective, creative ideas, and visual support across projects
• Contribute ideas, references, and insights during creative strategy and concept development
• Help bring creative ideas to life through moodboards, references, decks, and design thinking
• Flex and showcase a variety of creative skills across different projects and formats
• Design and deliver client-ready assets across social, out of home, brand marketing, advertising, web, events, print, pitches, and presentations
• Craft and elevate visually engaging decks that turn ideas into impactful visual stories
• Manage multiple projects at once while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
• Own design projects from concept through final execution
• Support and provide guidance to junior and mid-level designers as needed
• Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with team members across the studio, agency, and client teams
• Thrive in a diverse environment and contribute to the overall culture of Day One

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience at an advertising/creative agency or design studio
• Multi-disciplinary portfolio showcasing a range of design work and creative capabilities
• Skilled in designing across digital, print, and experiential platforms, with an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of each
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides
• Strong understanding of typography, photo retouching, storyboarding, and animation direction
• Proven track record of taking projects from concept through design and final delivery
• Comfortable presenting creative concepts and working closely with clients to apply creative solutions to business challenges
• Collaborative approach to iterating on and evolving concepts through constructive feedback
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think through creative challenges
• Adept at multitasking and prioritizing workloads while maintaining quality through quick turnarounds
• Energetic team player with a great work ethic and willingness to jump in where needed
• Thrives in a diverse environment and contributes to the overall culture of Day One
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for Los Angeles based hires only and is provided pursuant to the applicable law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
