Job summary

Jobtailor in Seattle is seeking an experienced Senior Retail Design Architect to guide projects from scoping through construction, coordinating with architectural and engineering teams. You will drive design development, ensure alignment with stakeholders, and mentor junior staff.

You will utilize SketchUp, Revit/AutoCAD, and the Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality renderings, while managing budgets, schedules, and compliance with building codes and ADA requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of retail design experience.
• Deep knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements.
• Budgeting, scheduling, risk management, contract negotiation, and construction administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Fluency across design software with expertise in producing high quality renderings.
• Proficiency in industry tools — SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit/AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Smartsheet.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
• Business acumen and budget management skills.
• Strong planning and time management skills.
• Forward-thinking, continuous improvement mindset.
