Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex life-sciences facilities projects from our Cary, NC or Blue Bell, PA offices.

You will manage scope, cost, schedule, and quality, mentor teams, and coordinate with discipline leads to ensure successful outcomes on pharmaceutical/GMP projects. Travel up to 5-20% may be required. IPS is an equal‑opportunity employer.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management experience.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning.
  • Minimum 5 years of Pharmaceutical/GMP project experience.
  • Proficient in common IT tools for planning and scheduling.
  • Understanding of Earned Value and project controls.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare internal and client reports.

Senior Project Manager – Cary, North Carolina or Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Project Manager to join our talented team at our office in Cary, North Carolina, or our headquarters in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility for achievement of scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives on assigned projects.
  • Ensure achievement of corporate goals for assigned projects.
  • Attend pre‑bid meetings with clients, prepare proposals with department heads, directors, and key individuals.
  • Independently develop design budgets.
  • Manage client interaction and promote positive relationships.
  • Identify project risks and work with Project Executives and Director of Operations to mitigate them.
  • Lead project teams, either own or as a subordinate, to successful conclusion.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads to determine scope, complexity, and planning/scheduling requirements.
  • Develop and maintain meeting minutes and action items/needs list for each project.
  • Prepare internal monthly financial/schedule reports for Director of Operations and monthly reports for client as requested.
  • Manage all sub‑consultants on the project.
  • Identify and develop innovative methods to improve project management processes and techniques against current SOPs.
  • Provide mentorship to developing individuals within the project management group and design disciplines.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 10+ years of industry experience in Project Management.
  • Project Management Institute (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical/GMP project experience.
  • Skilled in use of IT tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, planning, and scheduling software.
  • Understanding of Earned Value and other project control methods.

Travel required: 5–20% or as required by assigned project.
