Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an Engineering Design Specialist and POD Lead for an hourly contract. Location is Remote.

You will develop simulation-based problems to train advanced AI models, create design challenges, and validate solutions with physics-based simulations. Strong engineering background and remote work capability required. Must hold Master or PhD and be available 20-40 hours per week with 4 hours overlap with PST.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on engineering design experience (not just analysis).
• Strong expertise in at least one engineering domain (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Chemical, Robotics, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one simulation tool (FEA, CFD, SPICE, RF tools, etc.).
• Ability to design complex, simulation-based problems involving trade-offs and optimization.
• High attention to detail including units, boundary conditions, and physical accuracy.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate edge cases and design correctness.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Availability with at least 20-40hrs per week with 4 hours overlap with PST.
