Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Design Coordinator in Pennington, NJ to lead architectural detailing across project phases and collaborate with owners. You will develop specifications, perform code reviews, and support project teams from design through site visits.

Expertise in Revit and strong communication are essential. Minimum 5 years of experience and a Bachelor's in Architecture are required; a path toward professional registration is encouraged.

• Minimum of 5 years professional or internship experience preparing details, specifications and construction documents.
• Must possess credentials to obtain future registration.

• Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
• Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Senior Design Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Independently evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques, procedures and modifications to architectural construction documents through all phases of documentation
• Independently perform architectural assignments with only general instruction from the Project Architect or Project Manager regarding the expected results
• Work directly with owners/clients to select and recommend procedures
• Write specifications covering architectural matters and perform code reviews
• Assist Project Architects, other Architectural Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed, and take responsibility for work in all phases of the architectural process, including site visits during all project phases
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture
• Experience in healthcare, science and research facilities
• Healthcare experience in NJ/PA/NY preferred
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3‑D Studio Max
• Rhino and Grasshopper experience
