Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Manager to oversee all aspects of multi-discipline design/build projects from concept to closeout. You will manage safety, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and client relations, while coordinating staff across disciplines and driving project success.

The role demands strong leadership, contract negotiation, and communication skills, with experience in risk management and project controls. On-site responsibilities and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• 7+ years of related experience in design engineering, with 3+ years managing projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proven client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present complex information.
• Experience with contract terms negotiation and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multi-discipline design/build projects from concept to closeout.
• Develop and monitor schedules, manage scope and control costs.
• Serve as primary client contact for coordination, budgeting and staffing.
• Lead risk reviews, negotiate contracts, and manage submittals and procurement.
• Provide mentorship and training for the project team; ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Report progress, cost, and schedule metrics; maintain project controls.
