Job summary

Brobston Group in New York designs men's RLX apparel from concept through production handoff. Translate the RLX vision into refined, functional performance wear while balancing brand codes, quality, sustainability, calendar, and cost.

You will collaborate across merchandising, product management, development, materials, sourcing, production, and technical design to refine product, materials, fit, construction, and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating concept development, technical design, and commercial product creation.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, textiles, trims, performance materials, and the apparel product creation process.
  • Advanced proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of PLM and Microsoft Office; CLO/Browzwear is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple categories and deadlines and collaborate across functions.

  • Review prototypes, samples, colors, prints, graphics, trims, and materials to maintain design intent.
  • Research consumers, sport, fashion, archives, materials, and emergent tech to identify design opportunities.
  • Present seasonal concepts and assortments, support launches, and guide junior designers.

Summary

Design and develop men's RLX apparel categories from seasonal concept through production handoff. Translate the RLX vision into refined, functional, commercially relevant performance apparel while balancing brand codes, quality, sustainability, calendar, and cost.

Responsibilities
  • Develop seasonal concepts, color and material stories, graphics, trims, sketches, CADs, and product presentations.
  • Own designated product categories from concept through production handoff, maintaining accurate design information and meeting calendar deadlines.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, product management, development, materials, sourcing, production, and technical design to refine product, materials, fit, construction, and performance.
  • Review prototypes, samples, colors, prints, graphics, trims, and materials to maintain design intent and product integrity.
  • Research consumers, sport, fashion, archives, materials, and emerging technologies to identify design opportunities.
  • Present seasonal concepts and assortments, support special projects and launches, and guide junior designers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in fashion design, apparel design, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Apparel design experience, ideally in men's performance, activewear, golf, tennis, outdoor, or technical apparel.
  • Portfolio demonstrating concept development, technical design, and commercial product creation.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, textiles, trims, performance materials, and the apparel product creation process.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of PLM and Microsoft Office. CLO or Browzwear experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple categories and deadlines, communicate clearly, present ideas, and collaborate across functions.
