Job summary

Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities in Massachusetts–Boston seeks a Deputy General Counsel to supervise attorneys, paralegals, and staff, and to provide agency-wide legal guidance. Qualifications

Jurist degree with bar admission; Massachusetts Bar preferred.
Experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff.
Ability to provide agency-wide legal guidance on policy issues and regulations.
Demonstrated skill in drafting regulations, policies, and notices.

Responsibilities

Provide agency-wide legal guidance and policy development for programs and projects.
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda of law; review documents.
Coordinate public records responses with Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel and other agencies.
Supervise attorneys, paralegals and staff; assign work and provide feedback.
