Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium seeks a Managing General Dentist to lead a Wrangell clinic and provide comprehensive dental care to a diverse patient population. The role combines clinical duties with administrative leadership and staff mentorship within SEARHC's integrated health system.

Qualified candidates will have a DDS/DMD, active US licensure, and 5+ years as a dentist, plus 2+ years in management and tribal practice experience.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
• Active Dental License in the USA; Alaska license preferred within 2 years.
• Residency training preferred; dental residency program preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience as a dentist.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• 2+ years of work within tribal practice preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical leadership for one or more SEARHC Dental clinics.
• Supervise dentists, hygienists, dental therapists, and other staff.
• Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, staff scheduling, and patient flow.
• Coordinate front desk operations and patient registration.
• Collaborate with visiting providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Provide direct patient care and village/field travel as needed.
