Job summary

Tallgrass seeks a Senior Specialist for Automation & Controls to lead the DeltaV DCS operations across gas processing facilities. You will maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot the DeltaV system, develop graphics, and support field crews with control issues.

Qualifications

Eight years of direct work experience in gas processing automation or related fields.
Strong DeltaV DCS knowledge and troubleshooting in a process plant.
Experience with DeltaV virtualization and PCSD standards.
Ability to design and maintain HMI graphics with DeltaV Live.
Understanding of alarm management and ISA-18.2 standards.
Familiarity with PLC ladder logic and Wonderware InTouch.
Ability to learn new programming skills as needed.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus).
Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical standards in control environments.
Willingness to travel and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, administer, and optimize Emerson DeltaV DCS hardware, controllers, and HMI graphics.
Develop and maintain DeltaV configurations using DeltaV PCSD libraries.
Design modern HMI displays following High-Performance guidelines and grayscale standards.
Manage DeltaV virtualization infrastructure and related VM networks.
Lead alarm rationalization initiatives per ISA-18.2 and Tallgrass standards.
Integrate third-party PLCs and field devices into DeltaV using standard protocols.
Develop and maintain Rockwell PLC programs and Wonderware HMI systems.
Provide technical support to operations and field personnel for control issues.
Plan and manage capital projects, budgets, and stakeholder coordination.
Read and interpret electrical, control, instrumentation, and P&ID drawings.
