Kiernan Trebach LLP in Hartford, CT (Remote) seeks a Senior Trial Attorney with 10+ years of Insurance Defense experience to defend a variety of matters from liability to professional liability.

The successful candidate will manage matters from suit inception through settlement or trial, draft motions and legal memoranda, review depositions, and contribute to a team with national coverage. Active Connecticut Bar license and trial experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Bar License required.
• Trial experience required.
• 10+ years in Insurance Defense preferred.
• Ability to work independently from inception to resolution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend a range of Insurance Defense matters including General Liability, Personal Injury, Product Liability, Professional Liability.
• Handle cases from suit inception to settlement or trial.
• Draft motions, memoranda, and deposition summaries.
• Coordinate with a national defense team.

The Role

We are seeking a new Senior Attorney experienced in Insurance Defense (10+ years) to join our team. Your role will be to defend a variety of matters at our growing Hartford, CT practice.

What You Will Do

Defend a Variety of Insurance Defense matters as well as:

• General Liability
• Personal Injury
• Product Liability
• Professional Liability

What You Will Bring

Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Experience with Insurance Defense.
• Experience writing motions and other legal memoranda, and summarizing depositions is preferred.
• The ability to work independently from suit inception to settlement/trial is preferred.

Required Education & Licensure

• Active Connecticut Bar License (Required).
• Trial experience (Required).
  
• Being able to waive into another bar and having multiple bars in the New England area is ideal, however, we are willing to consider candidates with only one bar.
