The attorney will manage complex defense matters across multiple jurisdictions, drafting pleadings and leading depositions, with direct interaction with sophisticated clients.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of defense litigation experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and is admitted in Texas.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Texas.
• 8+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with general liability, premises, products, transportation, construction, or insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a complex defense litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including trial or mediation.
• Develop and implement case strategy with motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions and coordinate with expert witnesses.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
• Provide strategic legal advice and status updates to clients and in-house counsel.
• Collaborate across offices on multi-jurisdictional matters and mentor junior staff.
