Job summary

Barbaricum seeks a Senior Data Science Consultant to design enterprise-level data workflows and predictive analytics for senior leadership within the Defense sector. The role focuses on automation, advanced analytics, and secure data applications across platforms like Palantir Foundry and Advana.

The candidate will lead end-to-end automation pipelines, develop COA risk simulations, and build ROI frameworks to support Mission Assurance and readiness for DoW/USAF programs.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS clearance required.
• MA or MS in Data Science, CS, OR, Statistics, or related field.
• 10+ years of data science/advanced analytics experience with DoW infrastructure/ readiness.
• Palantir Foundry Application Developer Certification required.
• Valid US passport; ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-level data science workflows and predictive analytics models for senior leadership.
• Lead deployment and optimization of secure data apps, monitoring views, and decision-support tools (Palantir Foundry, Advana).
• Design and implement end-to-end automation pipelines using ML, NLP, and AI for unstructured data.
• Create high-fidelity risk mitigation and COA simulation models for multiple scenarios.
• Develop ROI frameworks mapping budgets to MET readiness and asset protection levels.
• Prepare staffing materials, executive dashboards, and white papers translating complex methods for officers.
• Oversee data governance to ensure compliance with Joint Staff and DAF policies.
• Serve as principal interface between capability providers, senior military leaders, and data engineers.
• Synthesize cross-functional MAJCOM datasets, standardizing inputs across services.
• Mentor journeyman data analysts and promote best practices in algorithms.
