Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group in Miami, FL is seeking a Senior Director, Decarbonization Newbuild to lead development and deployment of low-emission technologies for newbuilds. This role partners with shipsyards, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to translate research into actionable deployment plans.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, 5+ years in marine tech, and proven ability to deliver structured analyses and executive briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering or related engineering field.
• Master’s degree in a related or complementary field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marine engineering, technology development, or related technical roles.

Responsibilities

• Owns defined technology scopes and develops/implements decarbonization technologies.
• Conducts techno‑economic analyses and business‑case inputs for emerging technologies.
• Tracks utilization and performance of piloted or deployed technologies.
• Leads cross‑functional workstreams and coordinates with shipyards, suppliers, and research partners.
• Prepares technical reports and executive presentations.
