H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Lead/Senior Attorney in Pasadena, CA, to oversee debt recovery litigation workflows, conduct discovery and document review, and execute sign-off on legal documents.

The role collaborates with the Managing Attorney and clients to discuss case details and ensure compliance with applicable laws. The ideal candidate holds a California license with 5–7 years of civil litigation experience, including debt collection, and at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Qualifications

• Active law license in California.
• 5–7 years of civil litigation experience (debt collection strongly preferred).
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven case analysis ability and settlement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, train, coach, and mentor.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong grammar and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Manage state-specific litigation workflows and litigation forms.
• Conduct document review and discovery.
• Execute documents requiring the Attorney’s signature.
• Communicate with the Managing Attorney and clients to discuss case details.
• Assist in responding to litigation-specific components of client audits.
• Monitor relevant legal rules, regulations, statutes, and case law.
• Conduct research and analysis of legal problems.
• Analyze probable outcomes of cases using legal precedents.
• Prepare and file legal documents.
• Manage and resolve collection litigation.
• Work with Pro Se litigants, opposing counsel, or other parties to settle files.
• Oversee and interact with outside collections and defense counsel.
• Support corporate compliance with laws governing debt collection and related activities
