Job summary

Murata Power Solutions is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and development of high-frequency DC/DC converters with a focus on reliability, density, and efficiency. You will design circuits, select components, and create the documents needed for CAD layouts and production.

You will mentor junior engineers, review layouts, and explore new technologies to support future products. This on-site role includes one flex remote day per week and compensation aligned with market

Qualifications

• BSEE with 4 years, MSEE w/ 3years or Ph.D. with 1 years’ experience in designing & developing high-frequency, high-density DC/DC power converters preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in product development, with evidence of successful concept to prototyping to manufacturing production.
• Solid experience with design simulation tools and PCB ECAD.

Responsibilities

• Design DC/DC converters/modules using novel topologies including digital control and WBG devices.
• Lead and coach junior engineers and technicians.
• Review PCB layouts & other design documents prior to releases for procurement or production.
• Research new technologies for future product needs.
• Write engineering requirements documents, test plans, and validation reports.
• Test and debug prototypes to ensure designs meet specs.
• Generate documentation to support design, manufacturing, and marketing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and new technology information.
