Senior Dataflow Systems Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Dataflow Systems Engineer to translate high-level operational requirements into detailed end-to-end dataflow solutions. The individual will design dataflow plans, troubleshoot complex routing problems, rapidly learn unfamiliar systems, and convert technical solutions into repeatable procedures and recommendations. This title better reflects the supplemental description than simply calling the position \"Systems Engineer\".

Key Responsibilities

• Translate high-level operational requirements into detailed, end-to-end dataflow plans
• Define ingest points, transformation steps, security/compliance boundary crossings, and destination endpoints
• Analyze and resolve complex dataflow routing issues where standardized documentation or procedures are insufficient or do not exist
• Independently research, analyze, and learn unfamiliar systems and tools to address emerging operational requirements
• Use existing baseline documentation as a starting point while developing tailored solutions
• Convert solutions into formal, repeatable procedures and technical recommendations
• Analyze user requirements, concepts of operations, and high-level system architectures
• Develop system requirements specifications
• Support system design and development activities
• Support requirements, design, and technology integration
• Develop technical and system documentation
• Support system integration and testing activities

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with Confluence and Jira
• Ability to use knowledge-management and ticketing tools to track team progress
• Ability to identify and address documentation gaps
• Experience maintaining documentation of dataflows, workflows, and routing anomalies

Required Qualifications: Candidates must meet the applicable education and experience requirements identified for the position, including significant systems engineering experience supporting work of similar scope and complexity.
