Job summary

Steampunk, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to design and implement enterprise data platforms, services, and pipelines on Databricks. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability while aligning with enterprise architecture.

You bring 5–7 years of data engineering experience, strong SQL, PySpark/Python, and cloud skills (AWS). You will contribute to the AI & Data Exploitation Practice and support agile delivery with

Qualifications

5–7 years of coding commercial software experience.
5–7 years direct Data Engineering experience with relevant tools.
Public trust clearance or ability to obtain one for US government work.
Strong knowledge of data lakes/warehouses and Delta Lake or Iceberg.
Experience building scalable data pipelines and ETL in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and architect migrations of data using Databricks with focus on performance, reliability and scalability.
Assess ETL jobs, workflows, data marts, BI tools, and reports.
Address inquiries on customization, integration, and enterprise data products.
Work with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred) including S3/EC2/RDS.
Contribute to AI & Data Exploitation Practice growth.
