Job summary

Lumenalta is hiring a software engineer to design and build Databricks-based data products with React front ends and robust APIs. You will work on enterprise-grade data platforms powering health-insurance workflows and analytics.

You will collaborate with UX/UI designers and data engineers, ship production-ready frontend and backend services, and own the CI/CD and monitoring for your apps. Remote work within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production React and TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs with modern languages such as TypeScript and Python.
• Strong SQL skills and comfort with data schemas, query performance, and data warehouse reads.
• Experience shipping applications end-to-end, including CI/CD and production support.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Databricks applications with React front ends for business users.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designer to implement polished interfaces and align designs with data.
• Develop backend services and APIs connecting to Databricks, including SQL warehouses and Unity Catalog data products.
• Design consumption patterns (API, CLI, GUI) for downstream AI and analytics apps.
• Work with synthetic data initially, then connect to production sources with proper access.
• Own CI/CD, monitoring, and the operational runbook for your applications.
• Collaborate with data engineers on output schemas, data contracts, and pipeline dependencies.
• Participate in discovery sessions with client stakeholders to translate business needs into scope.
