Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 8+ years hands-on experience with one or more database technologies.
• Excellent communications skills in written and verbal form.
• Understanding of change management principles applied to new tech.

Responsibilities

• Undertakes complex database projects requiring specialized technical knowledge.
• Provide technical database expertise for reliable performance and delivery.
• Engage with business/IT partners to determine requirements and service levels.
• Build knowledge of new technologies and assist in analysis for teams.
• Participate in IT Architecture groups to plan new database tech adoption.
• Mentor staff, provide feedback, and guide junior team members.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents affecting performance.
• Execute maintenance, deployments, and production support per change control.
• Collaborate with application, infra, and data teams to improve reliability.
