Texas State Technical College seeks a Senior Database Management Lead to administer and optimize the Foundation's donor CRM and related systems. You will ensure data integrity, create actionable reports, and support fundraising operations with analytics and training for users.

The Senior Database Management Lead is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of The TSTC Foundation’s constituent relationship management (CRM) database and related advancement systems. This role supports advancement operations and fundraising functions by ensuring data integrity, maintaining system reliability, developing reporting and analytics, and supporting effective use of donor and advancement data across the Foundation.
Working collaboratively with advancement leadership, development staff, and Foundation stakeholders, the Senior Database Management Lead manages database processes, supports user training and adoption, develops reports and insights, and helps align system functionality with fundraising, stewardship, and advancement operations priorities. The role also supports data governance, process consistency, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen donor data management and operational effectiveness.
The Senior Database Management Lead serves as the Foundation’s lead operational resource for CRM administration, donor data management, advancement reporting, and database support. Through strong analytical capability, systems administration, user support, and collaboration, this role contributes to effective fundraising operations, reliable advancement reporting, and the strategic use of donor and constituent data.
Anticipated salary range is $62-63k annually, based upon background, education and experience. Additionally, full state benefits and health insurance paid at 100% are available for this position.

Administers, maintains, and supports The TSTC Foundation’s Salesforce for NonProfits, Marketing Cloud (within Salesforce), Omatic, GoFundMe Pro, and Awarded (scholarships) platforms and related board of directors or donor management systems. Oversees database setup, user support, data maintenance, and routine system administration activities to ensure data integrity, usability, reliability, and alignment with Foundation operations and fundraising needs.
Maintains the accuracy, consistency, security, and integrity of donor and constituent records through data entry standards, routine audits, data hygiene practices, record updates, imports, exports, and ongoing maintenance activities. Supports backup processes, record quality controls, and database procedures which promote reliable advancement data, donor confidentiality, and reporting.
Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and data summaries related to donor activity, fundraising performance, engagement trends, campaign progress, and advancement operations. Analyzes donor and advancement data to identify patterns, support segmentation and prospecting efforts, and provide insights that inform fundraising strategy, stewardship, and leadership decision-making.
Provides day-to-day Salesforce support for the TSTC Foundation users, including troubleshooting issues, responding to questions, maintaining user documentation, and supporting system adoption. Develops and delivers training, guidance, and user resources to promote consistent and effective use of advancement systems and donor data tools.
Identifies opportunities to improve Salesforce database processes, reporting workflows, user experience, and advancement operations through system enhancements, process refinements, and improved data practices. Recommends and supports implementation of user-focused improvements that strengthen system effectiveness and alignment with development goals.
Collaborates with Advancement Operations, Development Officers, and Foundation leadership to support fundraising operations, reporting needs, events, campaigns, and institutional priorities. Participates in Foundation activities and works across functions to ensure advancement systems and donor data processes support organizational goals and operational consistency.
Database Administration & Data Stewardship
Maintains strong oversight of Salesforce for Nonprofits operations, donor records, and advancement data practices to ensure information is accurate, secure, reliable, and aligned with fundraising and Foundation needs.
Analytical Thinking
Applies critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret donor and advancement data, identify trends, evaluate reporting needs, and support informed decision-making across fundraising and advancement operations.
Problem Solving
Identifies data, reporting, and system-related issues and develops practical solutions that improve database performance, reporting accuracy, user adoption, and operational effectiveness.
Collaboration & Customer Support
Works collaboratively with Advancement Operations staff, Foundation leadership, and internal stakeholders to support database use, reporting needs, and fundraising operations. Provides responsive service, guidance, and support to users of advancement systems and donor data tools.
Organization & Attention to Detail
Maintains strong organization and attention to detail across reporting, record maintenance, training materials, system support, and database administration responsibilities. Ensures work is completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with established standards.
Professionalism & Confidentiality
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling proprietary donor, constituent, and Foundation business information. Maintains confidentiality and ethical stewardship of sensitive donor data and records.

Must be reachable during business hours through standard communication channels as required by the role.
Some duties may require work outside standard business hours during fundraising campaigns, events, reporting deadlines, database projects, or Foundation operational needs.
Full-time, FLSA-exempt position.
Periodic in-state travel to campuses, Foundation events, or meetings beyond the employee’s designated or nearest base campus may be required based on business needs and will comply with TSTC and State of Texas requirements.
Position requires sustained attention to donor, constituent, advancement, and reporting information, including data requiring accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate handling.
