Job summary

Leonard Workforce Solutions is seeking an Advanced Database Engineer to design database architectures, implement robust PostgreSQL systems, and optimize data pipelines for a defense and intelligence R&D client. You will work as a senior IC on a multidisciplinary team with autonomy to drive improvements.

The role requires a deep engineering background, 10+ years in database or software domains, and TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in database engineering, administration, data management, or software development in engineering domains.
• Experienced deploying, administering, and scaling enterprise PostgreSQL in Linux environments.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and shell scripting on Linux.
• Experience with PostgreSQL tuning, backup, recovery, and failover at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on with additional RDBMS/NoSQL like Oracle, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, etc.
• Able to design software systems meeting performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
