Job summary

RSM in the United States seeks a Senior Database Developer for a temporary engagement to redesign and modernize a legacy system for a financial services client. You will analyze existing architecture, translate complex business logic into scalable data models, and build high-performance, auditable data structures aligned with evolving needs.

The role requires 8–10 years in SQL Server, data migration/ETL, and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8–10 years of SQL Server development/DBA experience in large-scale environments.
• Experience with data migration, ETL, data analysis, data quality and modeling.
• Proven ability to design auditable, secure data solutions with regulatory controls.
• Strong skills in SPROCs, SQL testing, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing database architecture and decipher complex logic.
• Translate requirements into scalable database solutions with stakeholders.
• Design and develop new data models, schemas, and objects.
• Build and optimize tables, SPROCs, and controls for performance and auditability.
• Implement data governance and regulatory security controls.
• Support iterative development in an Agile environment (Jira/Confluence).
• Mentor team members on data modeling best practices.
