Job summary

CompTech Computer Technologies is seeking a Database Administrator IV to provide advanced database administration and technical leadership in support of the Defense Health Agency. This on-site role at Lackland, TX requires a Master’s degree, a Secret clearance, and extensive experience managing enterprise databases.

The candidate will lead DBAs, ensure security and availability, coordinate with engineering teams, and maintain comprehensive documentation while delivering reliable database

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressive database administration experience.
• Expert knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and security.
• Experience with backups, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic planning and administration of enterprise databases.
• Monitor health, availability, and performance; optimize as needed.
• Implement robust security controls and STIG/SRG compliance.
• Lead and mentor junior DBAs and coordinate site activities.
• Develop SOPs and technical documentation.
