Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Senior Database Administrator III to support a Federal Government client. This on-site role is based in Riverside, CA, with travel to CBP mission locations as required.

The incumbent will manage, maintain, and optimize database environments supporting C4I, AMOSS, ISR, and related mission applications, ensuring data availability, security, and performance. Candidates should have 10+ years of enterprise DB experience, knowledge of Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL, and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting maintenance and sustainment of C4I, AMOSS, or ISR systems in operational environments.
• Troubleshooting complex system issues across hardware, software, and network components.
• Experience with mission equipment and COTS systems.
• Knowledge of diagnostic/test equipment to identify and resolve faults.
• Understanding operational requirements and applying technical procedures in mission environments.
• 10+ years of enterprise database experience.
• Database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Security controls, access management, and compliance requirements.
• Database integration with applications and system architectures.
• Experience in DoD/DHS or similar Federal environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize database environments supporting C4I, AMOSS, ISR, and mission applications.
• Monitor database performance; implement tuning/optimization strategies.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across platforms.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database systems.
• Support backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues in mission-critical environments.
• Manage access controls and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams on data requirements.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, procedures, and standards.
• Support data migration, replication, and synchronization efforts.
