The salary reflected represents the base pay for this position and does not include any differential for time‑of‑service pay for state tenure.

We are recruiting to fill a Senior Database Administrator position responsible for installation of the database software, new releases and upgrades, and supporting products. Also responsible for the management and hands‑on database administration for the design, installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, backup, recovery, tuning and monitoring of all databases. Must be able to work as the highest level support engineer with knowledge and ability to respond to on‑call situations, develops and maintains a backup and recovery strategy for all databases.
Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 semester hours in computer science, computer programming, systems analysis and design, or network design and configuration, and 5 years of experience with primary responsibility for the configuration of computer hardware or software in a mainframe, midrange and computer environment or with installation and configuration of operating systems, network design and configuration, installing and configuring software applications.
Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
