Job summary

JCS Solutions LLC seeks a Senior Data/Visualization Engineer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards using Power BI and MicroStrategy for IT Operations sustainment in defense contexts. The role emphasizes data integration, ETL, and performance optimization, with a strong focus on DoW protocols and security requirements. Requires TS/SCI eligibility and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 8+ years experience or Master’s with 6+ years experience; DoW/DoD domain experience preferred.
• Active certification in IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP) required.
• Strong data analysis, BI, and enterprise data visualization experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and MicroStrategy.
• Support IT Operations; identify and analyze data for operations and system sustainment initiatives.
• Perform data ETL from disparate sources to prepare data for analysis and visualization.

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from disparate structured and unstructured data sources to prepare it for analysis and visualization.

• Documentation & Standards
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, standard operating procedures, and data dictionaries in support of delivered products.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all tools comply with DoW STIGs and IL5/IL6/IL7 protocols; develop and maintain architectural documentation and compliance traceability.
• Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. What you will bring:
• Requires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Certification: Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP) required.
• Core Experience: Proven professional track record in data analysis, business intelligence, and building data visualizations for enterprise use.
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with IT Operations and sustainment, including a strong understanding of how to identify and apply relevant data to support these functions.
• Data Integration / ETL: Experience with data extract, transform, and load (ETL) techniques using disparate structured and unstructured data sources.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced hands‑on experience with Power BI (including DAX and Power Query) and MicroStrategy (including Dossiers and standard reporting).
• Database Skills: Strong command of SQL and experience querying complex relational databases and data warehouses.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required.
• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) required at time of hire.
