Job summary

DBA Web Technologies is hiring a Data Systems Engineer in Charlotte, NC to design and implement data-driven solutions across an enterprise data lake. You will work with AWS, Snowflake, RedShift, and big data tools to ingest, transform, and migrate data from diverse sources.

The role emphasizes collaboration with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and analysts, and requires strong coding skills in Python/Scala/Java, plus experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; master's preferred.
• Experience with AWS, Glue, Lambda, EMR and Snowflake/RedShift.
• Proficient in Python, Scala or Java.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem and big data tools: Spark, Kafka, Hive, API handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement data-driven solutions to meet business requirements.
• Ingest data from multiple sources into an Enterprise Data Lake in a hybrid environment.
• Build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Deploy application code and analytics models using CI/CD tools; support deployed data apps.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and reporting teams.
• Research open-source components and integrate them into the design.
• Communicate clearly with data providers, engineers, and analysts to align goals.
