Job summary

ERM in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Senior Data Specialist to support data engineering, analytics, and enterprise data management initiatives.

You will design data models, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and create analytics datasets and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years of SQL, relational databases, Python or R, and cloud experience (Azure, AWS, Snowflake).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in data-related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT workflows.
• Python or R for data processing; version control familiarity.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for dashboards.
• Cloud data environments (Azure/AWS/Snowflake).
• Data QA/QC and governance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, maintenance, and governance of enterprise data models.
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across sources.
• Create analytical datasets to support dashboards and data products.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries; document and mentor juniors.
• Translate requirements into technical data solutions with cross‑functional teams.
• Perform data QA/QC and drive process improvements and automation.
