Senior Data Services Engineer - .NET / Azure

Job summary

MSI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain full‑stack applications including .NET/C# backends, Blazor/UIs, and data services. You will lead architectural discussions, promote best practices, and deliver on Agile sprints with a focus on security, reliability, and user experience.

You will mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and partners to scope and deliver features for complex systems and data processing workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with dynamic/compiled languages.
• Strong knowledge of distributed messaging (Azure Service Bus or similar) and retry/dead-letter patterns.
• Experience mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, and shaping architecture.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, MVC, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and databases (SQL).

Responsibilities

• Develop features for the compliance management platform on an Agile team.
• Build and maintain scalable UI and APIs using ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and SQL Server.
• Diagnose production issues in distributed services and optimize reliability.
• Lead design discussions for mid-to-large systems and champion engineering best practices.
• Mentor peers, review code, and contribute to roadmap and sprint planning.
