Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead design, deployment, and operation of data security controls across on-premises and cloud environments. You will implement data discovery, classification, DLP, and access governance using Purview, Varonis, and Imperva, collaborating with Security Architecture, Data Platform, IAM, Cloud, and SOC teams to enforce a data-centric security model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred. Associates degree or equivalent and five (5) years of directly related experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree.
• Two or more of the following certification: SC-200, MS-500, AZ-500, AZ-700, AZ-800, Security+, CISM, CISSP/SIGAC, PCNSE/Linux+ or similar; Microsoft Purview/Varonis/Imperva certifications strongly preferred.
• Five (5) years’ experience in IT, including three (3) years of IT Security/Engineering related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and optimization of security solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.
• Protect structured and unstructured data across databases, data warehouses, file shares, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and SaaS platforms.
• Implement data trust frameworks, ensuring data is discovered, classified, protected, and monitored across its lifecycle.
• Collaborate with SOC, IAM, and other teams to embed security into infrastructure and operations.
• Maintain and improve security standards, conduct risk assessments, and support incident response.
