Job summary

Fastly is seeking a Senior Data Security Architect to serve as the technical authority on protecting sensitive data across corporate and production systems. You will translate governance requirements into controls and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to implement tooling that enforces data obligations at scale.

You’ll work with a friendly security team, contribute to industry-wide security efforts, and help ensure a service built to the highest security standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, data security, or data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical security strategy across data domains and lifecycle.
• Embed data security into system design with Product, Engineering, Finance, IT.
• Identify, implement, and own tooling for data protection (discovery, inventory, DLP).
• Harden and configure corporate systems to reduce risk of excessive access.
• Assess and mitigate data-related risks with data owners.
