Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled quantitative data scientist to optimize and deploy advanced algorithms in production. You will work with data scientists and engineers to build scalable models, focusing on supply chain optimization and decision automation across large SKU and distribution networks.

You will implement mathematical models and cutting-edge techniques such as RL, MDPs, and time-series forecasting.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale optimization, simulation, ML and DL at scale.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain optimization including inventory, transportation, sourcing, distribution, fulfillment, and planning.
• Excellent coding skills with a focus on readability, testing, and maintainable software.

Responsibilities

• Review and iterate on optimization and machine learning algorithms with fellow data scientists.
• Develop state-of-the-art mathematical models.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and deploy algorithms in production at scale.
• Operate models for millions of SKU and distribution network combos multiple times per day.
• Work with business partners to understand retail business processes.
