Qualifications

• Hands-on work on real data pipelines and model-facing problems in data science, ML, or applied research.
• Strong Python and data tooling; comfort building analysis, scoring, and automation yourself.
• Experience with data characterization, data selection, active learning, or similar "what should we work on next" problems.
• Working familiarity with speech/audio or NLP models — reasoning about model output quality and error modes.

Responsibilities

• Understand and characterize our data to know languages, conditions, domains, speakers, and underrepresented groups.
• Design and build active-learning loops to guide what to work on next.
• Think deeply about leveraging humans in the loop, designing workflows and model-assisted steps.
• Make benchmarking possible with curated datasets and methodology across real-world speech diversity.
• Change data strategies by running experiments that separate effective approaches from assumptions.
• Ensure data consistency, cleanliness, and accessibility for non-technical teams.
