Assertive Professionals is seeking a Data Scientist to support the National Security program in Colorado Springs, CO. The role includes developing Python-based solutions to streamline intelligence analysis and maintaining code in a government-grade environment.

The position requires TS/SCI with CI Poly, 7+ years of experience, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams. Competitive compensation includes a $160,000 salary and a $2,000 sign-on bonus or relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI w/ CI Poly clearance is required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in data science or related field.
• Experience with data architecture and big-data environments.
• Expert Python knowledge and Jupyter Notebooks/Notebooks/Labs.
• Proficient in IDEs such as VS Code, Spyder, PyScript or Jupyter.
• Develop and use algorithms/models to solve intelligence problems.
• Document and comment code to meet standards (PEP-8).
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and communicate findings.
• Knowledge of NLP, ML, predictive modeling, statistics, hypothesis testing.
• NSA NSA course work or certifications recommended.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data science on structured and unstructured data to streamline intelligence analysis.
• Develop and maintain Python code in support of mission requirements.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to connect data sources and business problems.
• Identify insights, interpret findings, and make recommendations to stakeholders.
• Evaluate technologies for data science capabilities including NLP, ML, and statistical analysis.
