Job summary

The Senior Data Scientist – Rental at Caterpillar will transform digital behavioral data into actionable insights to strengthen site performance, optimize digital investments, and drive Rental revenue and customer growth. The role centers on advanced site analytics and measurement using GA4 data.

You will leverage GA4, BigQuery, Python and SQL to define metrics, analyze funnels, and translate clickstream data into clear recommendations and scalable solutions for cross-functional teams in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with 6+ years of analytics/data management experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, GA4, and BigQuery.
• Experience with ML methods (clustering, regression, RF, SVMs, NN).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).
• Strong problem-solving and data storytelling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and track core site metrics using GA4 data.
• Evaluate conversion funnels and digital journeys.
• Collaborate with business, product, and tech teams to translate clickstream data into actionable recommendations.
• Develop scalable measurement solutions and support data-driven decision making.
• Lead Rental Insights and Analytics initiatives across the organization.
