Job summary

iQuasar, LLC is seeking a Data Scientist in Reston, VA. The role offers 90% remote work with 10% in the Reston office and requires a Secret Clearance. The candidate will lead development of ML models, NLP, and RAG-based solutions for a federal-scale client in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include 8+ years of AI/ML experience, expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, and a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field. Remote collaboration and strong documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on AI/ML software development with Python and R.
• Strong background in deep learning, transformer-based NLP, and classical ML.
• Experience with RAG, LLMs, and embedding-based retrieval systems.
• Data wrangling, Web scrapping, data standardization, and feature engineering.
• Experience with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate) or graph databases (Neo4j).
• Proficiency with TF, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of predictive models using deep learning and classical ML algorithms.
• Build and optimize NLP models using transformer architectures (e.g., BERT, GPT).
• Design and implement RAG approaches for LLM-based apps.
• Work with vector and graph databases for knowledge retrieval.
• Generate and use simulated data to support training and testing of ML models.
• Standardize, aggregate, and integrate data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into ML solutions.
• Document workflows and produce technical reports/research publications.
• Use GitHub for version control and collaboration.
