Job summary

Archer Technologies International, Incorporated is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to bridge raw aviation data and the intelligence powering our AI platform. You will transform high-frequency telemetry and noisy ATC audio into actionable insights, building models across time-series, spatial, and sequential data.

You will collaborate with engineers and aviation experts to deploy models into production streaming pipelines, owning their behavior and performance.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Aerospace Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of applied data science or machine learning experience, including models that have run in production.
• Strong Python and SQL skills over large analytical datasets.
• Depth in time-series and sequence modeling.
• Experience with sparse, incomplete, or unlabeled data — weak supervision and programmatic labeling.
• Experience designing data validation and drift detection for continuously arriving data.
• Ability to leverage AI assistants to increase velocity while owning every model, feature, and analysis shipped.
• Strong communication and collaboration to explain methodology to non-specialists.

Responsibilities

• Derive new signals from high-throughput, real-time data streams and infer complex states from telemetry.
• Build, evaluate, and iterate on models across time-series, spatial data, and noisy sequences.
• Design evaluation for problems with little labeled ground truth using weak supervision and programmatic labeling.
• Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to deploy models into production streaming pipelines.
• Work with aviation experts to turn operational knowledge into features, labels, and evaluation criteria.
