Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to lead a team that builds analytical infrastructure and predictive models to drive pricing decisions and profitability. You will collaborate with business leaders and engineers to leverage data for insights and business solutions.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Experience in data mining, data analysis and predictive modeling.
• Previous work experience in business intelligence and data analytics.
• PhD in Computer Science, Math or related quantitative field.
• Expert knowledge in manipulating massive datasets, statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
• Minimum 7 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights.
• Provide direction on prioritization of work, ensure quality of outputs, and develop direct reports.
• Establish scalable, efficient processes for large scale data analyses, model development and model implementation.
• Solve problems creatively with strategic insights. Leverage data to present a compelling business case to optimize price points.
• Remain knowledgeable on advancements in data science and machine learning. Identify opportunities to apply learnings.
