Job summary

Uber is seeking a data scientist to join the Science team in Sunnyvale. You will build statistical and machine learning models for pricing and incentives, run experiments, and present findings to senior management to drive business decisions at global scale.

You will own end-to-end data products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate complex insights into production-ready analytics that guide strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Engineering, CS, OR related field and 3 years of experience.
• Experience manipulating large-scale data, creating visuals, and dashboards (Tableau/Looker).
• Strong statistical methods, experimentation, and causal inference techniques.
• Proficiency in Python/SQL and building production-ready pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Use data to understand product performance and identify improvements.
• Build statistical, optimization, and ML models for pricing and incentives.
• Design and run experiments; interpret results for actionable insights.
• Present findings to senior management to inform decisions.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, operations, and marketing end-to-end.
