Walmart Global Tech in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to advance personalization and recommendation across our ecommerce stack. You will lead ML-driven strategies, design scalable data models, and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy end-to-end solutions that impact millions of customers.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field, with hands-on experience in ML, generative AI, and large-scale DL models, plus strong coding in Python and data pipelines

Qualifications

• Master’s degree/Ph.D in Data Science or related fields with practical experience.
• Expertise in Machine Learning, Statistics, Generative AI, Personalization and Item Recommendation algorithms.
• Experience in data science and building and evaluating large scale machine learning and deep learning models.
• Experience in designing scalable end-to-end model architectures and conducting experiments.

Responsibilities

• Develop state of the art techniques in Machine Learning, Personalization and Recommendation systems.
• Design, implement, and own the state-of-the-art Machine Learning approaches including deep learning, reinforcement learning, generative AI techniques
• Collaborate with other tech leads on top-down or bottom-up initiatives and priorities
• Develop data models and iteratively improve them based on new data insights
• Design, architect and iterate on data models
• Iterate, challenge, and accelerate best practices in Personalization and Item Recommendations
